This morning I talked to a 3rd grade class of Tallinn Kuristiku Gymnasium about animal rights and what are the basic needs of all sentient non-human animals with a specific focus on domesticated cats. I opened up on what to consider when one wants to adopt a cat (or a dog). I also explined why animal shelters are needed, and what are the roles and responsibilities of a volunteer. Most importantly, I reflected on the wonderful world of cats, e.g. how they express themselves and what are the unique features of a cat.
